Eclipse Scheduler FAQ: Pricing, Features, and How It Works

Everything you need to know about Eclipse Scheduler.

What is Eclipse Scheduler?+

Eclipse Scheduler is an appointment booking platform built for service-based small businesses. It gives your business a client-facing booking page where customers can self-book 24/7, receive automated reminders, and pay online. You manage everything from a clean dashboard and native iOS app (coming soon).

How does Eclipse Scheduler work?+

After signing up, you configure your services, availability, and branding. Eclipse generates a unique booking link you share with clients via text, Instagram, or your website. Clients pick a service and time, receive a confirmation, and get an automatic reminder before their appointment. You manage all bookings from your dashboard or the iOS app (coming soon).

How much does Eclipse Scheduler cost?+

Eclipse Scheduler offers three plans. Starter is free forever and includes a public booking page, client self-booking, email confirmations, one service type, and mobile app access (coming soon). Standard is $19/month and adds Stripe payments, automated reminders, a custom booking widget, up to 5 services, and basic analytics. Growth is $35/month and adds unlimited services, advanced analytics, remove Eclipse branding, and multiple team sign-ons. New accounts receive a 14-day Standard trial automatically — no credit card required.

Is there a free plan?+

Yes. The Starter plan is free forever. It includes a public booking page, client self-booking, email confirmations, one service type, and access to the mobile app (coming soon). All new accounts also receive a 14-day Standard trial so you can try the full feature set before deciding.

What types of businesses use Eclipse Scheduler?+

Eclipse Scheduler is built for appointment-based service businesses including salons, barbershops, med spas, personal trainers, yoga and pilates studios, and lash and nail studios. It is designed specifically for small business owners who run on appointments. If your business depends on a calendar — whether you are a solo operator or managing a small team — Eclipse was built for how you actually work.

Why choose Eclipse Scheduler?+

Eclipse Scheduler is built specifically for independent service businesses — salons, barbers, personal trainers, studios, and mobile providers — who want a fast, clean way to take bookings and get paid without the clutter of generic tools or the fees of a marketplace. You get a beautiful mobile booking page for your clients, instant approve or decline of requests, Stripe payment collection, automated reminders, availability and service management, and an iOS app to run everything from your pocket. How does Eclipse Scheduler compare to Calendly, Square Appointments, and Acuity?+

Each tool was built for a different customer. Calendly is designed for meeting and sales call scheduling. Square Appointments is built for businesses already on Square POS. Acuity is a general-purpose scheduler popular with Squarespace users. Eclipse Scheduler is built for local service businesses that take appointments, collect deposits, and charge no-show fees. We put together a full side-by-side breakdown with verified pricing. See the comparison →

Does Eclipse Scheduler have a mobile app?+

The Eclipse Scheduler iOS app is coming soon! We are currently in the testing phase and putting the finishing touches on it. Once live, you will be able to manage your schedule, view bookings, and update your availability from your phone. Clients do not need to download an app — they book through a mobile-optimized web page.

Can Eclipse Scheduler collect payments from clients?+

Yes. The Standard and Growth plans include Stripe-powered client payments, allowing you to collect a deposit or full payment at the time of booking. This reduces no-shows by creating a financial commitment and eliminates the need to chase payment after appointments.

Does Eclipse Scheduler send appointment reminders?+

Yes. On Standard and Growth plans, automated email reminders go out to clients before every appointment. You do not need to manually follow up — Eclipse handles it. Reminders fire automatically based on the appointment time, and most business owners report a measurable drop in no-shows and last-minute cancellations within their first few weeks.

Can my staff members have their own logins?+

Yes. The Growth plan supports multiple team sign-ons. You can invite staff members, assign them their own login, and they can manage their own schedule and availability independently from your account. Each team member gets their own booking calendar, and clients can book directly with a specific provider rather than just the business in general.

Can I embed the booking widget on my website?+

Yes. The Standard and Growth plans include a custom booking widget you can embed directly on any website. Clients can book without leaving your site. The widget pulls your live availability in real time, so it is always current — it will never display a time slot that is already taken.

Do clients need to create an account to book?+

No. Clients do not need to create an account or download anything. They simply click your booking link, choose a service and time, and submit their details. The process takes under a minute. Removing the account creation step significantly reduces drop-off — most clients complete a booking in fewer than three taps.

Can I remove the "Powered by Eclipse" branding?+

Yes. The Growth plan allows you to remove Eclipse branding from your booking page so it feels completely native to your business. This is particularly useful if you have an established brand identity and want the booking experience to feel like a seamless extension of your website or social presence rather than a third-party tool.

Is Eclipse Scheduler available outside of DFW?+

Yes. While Eclipse Scheduler was founded in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the platform is available to any service-based business nationwide. There are no regional restrictions — any appointment-based business can sign up, configure their services, and be live with a booking link within minutes.

How do I get started?+

Sign up at eclipsescheduler.com — it takes under five minutes. Add your services, set your hours, and share your booking link. New accounts get a 14-day Standard trial with no credit card required. The onboarding flow walks you through each setup step, and most businesses receive their first real booking within 24 hours of going live.
